Winds of Change 2010!

Hello everyone,

Here we go again……

Another summer is coming which means another opportunity for Charity and Change for the better!

This year will mark the 3rd running of our 1000 km Motorcycle Charity fundraiser for The Society of Manitobans with Disabilities Foundation / Easter Seals Manitoba.

For those of you who have been involved the last couple of years we have raised over $20,000.00 definitely something we should all be proud of.

The basis of the event again will be a 1000km 2 day ride with an overnight campout. Last year we proudly ran a $0 cost event so a 100% of donations are forwarded on to SMD, we will continue to operate our event this way.

The Adult and Youth Recreation and Leisure opportunities supported through the Winds of Change event are extensive. Activities include sledge and power wheelchair hockey programs, residential and day camp opportunities, life skill development and independent living experiences to name only a few. These and all other SMD programs aim to improve and encourage available programming for individuals of all abilities so that they have an equal opportunity to enjoy different aspects of community living.

The date will be July 24 & 25, 2010.
Registration will be at 8:00am, departing at 9:00am from Chubb’s Restaurant, Petro Can, Lockport Mb.
Poker Hands for each day.
Registration is $20.00 or free with $50.00 pledge collection.
Camping: Vermillion Park, Dauphin Mb, $14.00 per tent (participant pays own fees) no need to pre book.

Please contact myself and I will set you up with some collection sheets and supporting sponsorship letters. Don’t be afraid to fail, don’t be afraid to fit in, you’ll be amazed what you can do when you learn to laugh at the things that scare you, just try it!

The last couple of years I have appreciated all of you who have taken the time to raise funds and participate, it would be great to continue with your help and support of this special event and the important cause it supports.
